I was introduced to Jeanne Tate 10 years ago when I tried to leave an abusive marriage with my then step-daughter who I raised since she was 2 months old. We had a very unique adoption case and were extremely nervous about hiring an attorney. In fact, we remained constantly nervous throughout the whole process. On my own I attempted to adopt my son who I raised since he was 1 years old. I thought it would be cut and dry but quickly learned that legalities and law does not make things as easy as I thought.
