Horrible experience. People were very rude to me and made me extremely uncomfortable. I would never recommend this place not even to my enemy.

TERRIBLE!!!! THE ONE STAR IS FOR THE LIMO DRIVER WHO WAS VERY POLITE. My dad is a Vietnam veteran and has a purple heart. We were informed by the staff of Stewart and Calhoun on the way to the cemetery that he would not be receiving the three gun salute and they blamed it on the military. They said the documents we provided were not legible but we were never told this until the day of the funeral. The Stewart and Calhoun staff were scrambling around right as everyone loaded into their cars to head towards the cemetery and finally they came and told us the bad news so I believe they forgot about it all together and instead of saying we made a mistake and accepting responsibility they blamed the military. We had other documents we could have provided had we known about the situation ahead of time. They're only concern was making sure they got paid. I'll never use them again and I wouldn't recommend them to anybody.

Sitting here thinking of my dad. My dad passed 3 years ago????????. They did a wonderful job from start to finish. My dad looked very peaceful and not every funeral home takes special care of the body and appearance especially when there is a viewing. It does matter. Everyone was so kind especially Christian. They were very compassionate and made things a little easier. They offered a DVD tribute that was played throughout. They are on the higher end with some of their prices but the quality of their service equaled that. They do offer value packages as well.

The staff at Stewart and Calhoun did an AMAZING JOB preparing for the services for my beloved son Matthew Burks. Mr. Christian worked diligently to make the preparation possible. Bishop Bailey did a wonderful job doing the ulogy for Matthew, and helped me every step of the way. The MVP of them all was Norma Graves who saw me through the beginning of the service to the end. I love her for life!! I will never forget what they did for me and my family. I have beautiful keepsakes, the announcement post they made so I could share his service information on Facebook was beautiful. Every detail from my my son's haircut to the beautiful blanket that was made meant the world to me. I highly recommend this funeral home to handle your family services. They will always be near and dear to me and I'll never forget them for all that they did.
