I was referred to Mr. Kim by my legal insurance plan. I'd never used the service before so I had no idea what to expect, and after speaking with Jae, I'm so glad I did! I came back from vacation to extensive water damage in my rental unit - the condo owner and property management company were slow to remediate the issue so I needed out of my lease. Jae sent the property management company a letter on my behalf which was so effective they immediately settled. I'm very grateful for the time he took to understand my situation and talk through the process. He has extensive knowledge of tenant law and was very responsive! As a result, the timeshare company allowed me to exit without foreclosure or any impact on my assets or credit score. Jae is unprofessional, not trustworthy, he billed me three months after dropping the ball on my lawsuit and not showing up in court. I had to explain to the Judge that my attorney has abandon me and I was not aware why he was not in court. Jae harassed me and my family for money - I just had to spend 4 months gathering documents from 11 years ago to file a Bar complaint. Filing bankruptcy and losing my home because of his neglect. He rents the "address" so Jae Kim appears legit. He meets clients at Starbucks. He charges $100.00 for consultations (you find this out later, when he surprises you with a bill). DOES NOTHING, DOES NOTHING, DOES NOTHING. Have reported his practices to the Los Angeles Bar Association!!!

Atty. Kim was very helpful when we called him for help due to a lease agreement dispute. He was the only lawyer that took our case and was very knowledgeable about the law. He made us feel very safe. That was a very stressful moment for that I couldn’t sleep the night before. I am thankful that I called Atty. Kim. He is an expert at real estate law.

We moved into a new apartment which we thought was fine until we started seeing roaches and having maintenance issues that weren't being addressed and we wanted out ASAP. Lost, scared, and not sure what to do, I called many lawyers but no one wanted to help. Luckily, I found Jae and gave him a call. Right away, he asked questions about the situation and told me he was going to call the management company. The very same day, the management company called us after they spoke with Jae and let us terminate the lease early while letting us keep our deposit! Then, when the management company tried to deduct a cancellation fee from our deposit, we of course called Jae and he sent them a letter the same day and we received the rest of our deposit the next week. We are now happily moved out and couldn't be happier with Jae's services and responsiveness! To anyone who is in a similar situation, I would highly recommend JHK Law if you are tenant and you don't know who else to go to!!
