Better less expensive alternatives available elsewhere. I had to call several agencies myself because Porter Loring stated they were waiting on approval before cremation. The main agency they were waiting on told me there was no need for their approval @#$%^&*!! Porter Loring charges a $500 fee plus a daily rate for holding the body after 14 days. YOU will work hard avoid these unnecessary charges. Other funeral homes don't charge this fee.

I engaged the services of Porter Loring Mortuary North to handle the sudden passing of my Mom. They were extraordinarily sensitive and efficient at a very difficult time. I chose this location only for convenience. My family has used the downtown location 3 previous times and had the same service. I never felt pressured and my privacy was held with high regard.

All of the staff were so wonderful! Always sensitive, caring and friendly! They accommodated us beyond measure and honored our precious Mom and my family is such loving ways! Porter Loring handled the funeral arrangements for my son, who died unexpectedly in August. Everyone at Porter Loring was compassionate, caring, and professional. I want to especially commend Amy Goad, who was our personal funeral director. Amy anticipated our needs and guided us through the process during a stressful and sad time.
