Amazing Elementary school! I loved it while I was there.

I've been extremely disappointed in this school at times, I know that this is long so I'll attempt to keep it as short as possible. My daughter attended their first social event of the year and she's in Kindergarten. We had hesitated about letting her attend but she really wanted to, so we did. The kindergarteners have lunch at 10:15 am -they do not have snack time- and no where on the flyer -which I still have a copy of- did it say there needed to be additional money for food and drinks, it just stated that there was a $5 fee for them to attend, which we had turned into the office personally. You fill out a form with all your info in case they need to call you. My daughter told us when we picked her up that she was so hungry and all the other kids except for the kindergarteners got to eat and drink. She told us that she asked a teacher for a slice of pizza because she was hungry too and the teacher simply told her "well if you don't have $5 in your pocket, we can't give you a slice" Not one person called to tell us "hi, your kid is hungry and they don't have any money to buy a slice", no one thought hey let buy this kid a slice and I'll tell her parents when they come to pick up. Nothing was done, and no one cared. My daughter went 7 hours without eating there on school property. That's a long time for an adult to go without food, much less a little kid. She said multiple of the kindergarteners didn't have money to eat. I talked to some of the parents that sent their kids and they also didn't know. One parent went to the principal to talk about this issue and they have since put that information on the flyer but that parent also said the principal made sure after every apology, there was an excuse. This place doesn't really care about the kids, if they did a phone call to any of these parents would have sufficed. Another thing that really bothers me, is that I have told the teacher, the nurse and everyone else that I WANT to be notified when my kid is sick or hurt at school. My child has come home with really bad scrapes and has been hurt at school and I've never received a phone call. I am willing to pick my child up if she is sick or hurt and they never notify me. I don't understand the lack of communication from parent to employees, it discusses me. They're caring for other people's children and they just have no remorse for the children there.

Other than a few teachers this school is the worst. My kids hate going to school out of fear that the teachers are going to yell at them. Most of the teachers are only there to show up for a paycheck. Don't dare ask them a question still say I already taught your child how to do it so it is their fault. And trust me they are definitely 8-3 teachers. The worst of them make sure to tell you never to contact them in their off time
