John S Yohanan

My experience with this lawyer was terrible. My husband (estranged because of this "lawyer" still) filed for a divorce in the late 2000's. I signed all necessary documents as did my ex. Shortly thereafter my ex failed to pay Mr. Yohanan who had been paid a retainer already, so in turn he did NOT finalize our divorce. This person has caused me much grief as now i cannot move on and marry the man I love. It was so easy for John yohanan to finalize the document but he lifted not a finger to at LEAST finalize our divorce at NO fault of my own. I believe this is extremely unethical and unprofessional as all documents were signed and this lawyer failed to do his job because he was owed a small amount of money. So here I am, NINE years later, STILL married to my estranged "husband". I have two beautiful children with a man I love and have faced high scrutiny for still technically being married because of our Christian status. I have endured the grief of being called an adulterer because John yohanan did not at the very least just finalize the divorce and i am considering calling the State Bar Association for unethical conduct and for my family and I's pain and suffering.
