Reps are courteous but there is a bulletproof system to prevent anyone from actually being helpful. It's 2 months and counting for a simple recall service. If you take pictures to make a living, the guys across the street at 1300 Walt Whitman Road care less about selling you toys you don't need and care more about keeping you going with tools you already own.
Canon Corp. Is insane, not providing for Chromebook printing.
We had a problem with our Canon printer and tried to call support. We got someone from what seemed to be India. Very rude, and hard to understand. This individual tried to gain remote access to our laptop which hold lots of personal information to “verify “ who we were. The entire situation was suspicious and the printer is still not working. I am very unhappy with the service canon provided me and the printer is not worth the money spent. I would recommend another brand
Today i fell in love with CANON'S Customer Service. I had an old camcorder (no longer being sold) that held precious footage of my dad (who passed away two years ago) in its internal memory. I wanted to sell the camcorder but i couldn't until i could figure out how to transfer that footage onto a memory card that i could upload to my MAC. I had such a hard time since the camcorder was an old model. After many failed attempts i decided to call CANON. I visited their customer service in Melville and was greeted by Jan at the front desk who was so pleasant and assured me an engineer would take a look at the camcorder. She followed up a day later to give me a status report. The engineer was trying to find a card big enough to hold my huge files. On the 3rd day, Walter called me to say i could pick up the camcorder any time i liked. When i got there, Walter greeted me with a big smile and winning personality. He gave me simple instructions and i was on my way. The service was excellent and free! I was grateful! Thank you CANON.
