Would NOT recommend. This woman has dragged out my grandmother's succession for two years (one year of which she has done nothing to finalize). Did not file accounting for first year so that the family could see how much she has paid herself and her attorney. She illegally held money that did NOT belong to the estate in which she is executor thus holding up another estate in which I am an heir. Family has begged and pleaded for this person to finish. She refuses to speak to family and seems to take pleasure in our pain. Sadly did not even have the decency to tell our family that she is sorry for our loss. THIS woman works in her own best interest..not in the best interest of heirs and estates that she handles. BEWARE! Has been four weeks since I left this review and still no word from Laurie despite her “response”. She’s continued to withhold money from my family that belonged to my grandfather despite our family pleas for years. Find someone else before she takes advantage of your loved ones.

FIND SOMEONE ELSE. This woman has dragged out a simple succession for almost two years as she continues to pay herself $350 per hour plus her attorney’s fees for doing nothing. Has not communicated with heirs since day 1. Refuses to take our calls or speak directly to heirs of estate. Has held community property that is due to another succession for over a year with NO explanation thus holding up heirs to 2 successions. Sadly has not worked in best interest of estate and heirs which an executor should do. My mother passed away 9/4/21 and it has been a 2 year battle with this firm. Update-9/6/23 She continues to ignore our attorney’s request for information. She claimed her final accounting would be complete in two weeks… been a month and she’s avoiding us. 9/20/23 Finally received a response from Ms. Kadair’s attorney. Accounting did not reflect Ms. Kadair’s payments to herself and her attorney. We’ve been waiting a year for it so we’re still not sure what her final fees paid to herself are. Update: 12/8/23. Ms. Kadair and her attorney have been dodging family for 3 months now on providing her Detail descriptive list of estate assets. We were promised this months ago.

I am a friend of a person that relied on Ms. Kadair to take care of a simple succession. I have listened to my friend detail unreasonable delays and a total lack of care in communicating with the family. As you can imagine, it has taken quite a toll on every member of the family. It’s been almost TWO YEARS, and nothing is settled, while Ms. Kadair continues to bill at a hefty hourly rate.

Unwilling to cooperate with the estates of her deceased clients to the extent that Laurie seems to take great pleasure in illegally withholding funds while lining her pockets in the process. Kadair Law Firm offers legal advice, but I am confident that, very soon, they will be begging Baton Rouge lawyers for legal advice regarding the aforementioned affair. Stay clear of Kadair Law Firm if you know what's best for you.

It has been 2 years and they have withheld all information with no contact and squandered so much money. This is upsetting and has dragged out multiple deaths in my family and mentally it has been exhausting. I tried calling her and she refused to speak to me as well! I would definitely go somewhere else.
