Getting ahold of your attorney by phone or email might be a challenge sometimes. However, other than that, they really get the job done where other attorneys might not. Mark Goodman and Sandy really went the extra mile to help us through a very difficult confusing case. Recommend!

Don't bother. Setting up an appointment required three phone calls because for those first two phone calls the phone call back I was promised never happened. Finally once I had an appointment the lawyer, Mark Goodman, couldn't be bothered to keep that appointment. Very unprofessional and very disrespectful.

Yesterday I had called the office and spoke to the paralegal Davene about my situation. She was very open about her personal experience her own custody case, and helped me see that I may be able to do this on my own. She did recommend I hire an attorney since my (soon to be ex) husband has retirement and savings that she said I should get half of that if I hire an attorney I would get it. She explained to me that Mark Goodman would be able to help me with my divorce, but there was a $95 consultation fee to see if he would even take my case. When I explained that I wouldn't have extra money until after taxes, she said she would see if she could get him to do the consult for free and if not she would help me out. True to her word, she helped me out. She helped save me money by letting me know I didn't have to go file for divorce right away, that if I let my husband file first he will have to pay all the filing fees, and even if he did file I have 20 days to file a response which I could have my taxes and hire an attorney in that time. If I choose not to hire an attorney I could respond myself by making sure I address his a, b, c with what I agree or disagree to. She explained the entire process if we don't agree on child support and money splitting we have something called a case management meeting and then a settlement conference at which point I would want an attorney to get me my half of his retirement! She gave me the number to a couple attorneys in Marilyn York's office that specialize in divorce and would be able to help me on a sliding scale!! She said, Mark is a great attorney and he only has a $2,500 retainer which is SUPER LOW compared to most!! She assured me that if I went to an attorney that understands financial limits like the ladies at York's office, I wouldn't turn into a "back burner" client (since attorneys like to favor their clients that have more money). The idea of having an attorney was soooo stressful until I spoke with Davene and she helped refer me to another attorney. nThe attorneys at this office probably wouldn't want to help me without that $2,500, but Davene was beyond helpful! Anyone looking for advice should definitely call to speak with her before you settle on an attorney! She said that she has been a paralegal for 9 years and her experience in the field has given her the ability to help people like me!
