I did an incredible amount research before I found Karole Kohl. This includes paying a consulting fee to other attorney's who practice family law and I could tell from my first conversation with Karole, she would be the best for what I was trying to achieve. Karole was very focused on the task at hand and paid close attention to even the smallest details. Communication was excellent and she responded to all emails and voice messages in a timely manner. Karole Kohl represented my SO on 2 related cases regarding child custody and an a falsified restraining order. All claims were fabricated and had been ongoing issues for over 3 years and we were starting to lose faith in the court system and afraid he was going to lose parental rights. Karole jumped right in and knew exactly what to do and asked all the right questions. We felt that Karole genuinely cared for us and our situation. First let me say, I am not the type of person to write reviews unless I am extremely satisfied or extremely dissatisfied with a service or product that I pay for. I first hired Ms. Kohl back in 2010 for a child custody case. I was going to try to represent myself but I quickly realized that I had no business doing something so foolish when it could determine many future years without my son. Ms. Kohl assured me that I had a strong case and that she would use her many years of law experience to help me get custody of my 5 year old son. His mother had a substance abuse problem and he was living in a dangerous environment. Within just a matter of weeks I was given emergency custody of my son. She fought very hard for my son and I. Within a month, we returned to the courtroom and I was awarded sole physical custody of my son. It was the biggest relief knowing I would not have to worry about the well-being of my son when he was in the care of his mother anymore. I recently had a friend that is going through a nasty divorce involving child custody and was asking me for advice regarding a family law attorney. He remembered the stories I told him regarding my experience with Ms Kohl and wanted her contact info. In the last 11 years I have sent multiple friends needing legal counsel to Ms. Kohl. Not once have any of my friends been dissatisfied. Ms. Kohl represented me in a rather horrible divorce. The mental and emotional stress was overcoming my ability to make proper decisions until I finally lost it and told her to end this proceeding in a rather belligerent manner.
