Extremely dissatisfied. Our morning was wasted having Kassius himself read us information available online while reciting legal procedure related to our case and filling us with false hope. Although we agreed to the quote, confirmed our intent and need for a lawyer, verified the court date with him, and was informed of the next steps in the process, Kassius took no further action outside of calling the general county line since we did not use the term "retaining him" during this exchange if information. I'm flabbergasted a working professional lacked the audacity to pose the proper question to confirm retention and failed to make it clear he was taking no action in the interim. Considering the time sensitivity of our case and our own inexperience with the judicial process, we placed a large amount of faith in this man as he agreed to assist us. The indescribable level of disappoint and anger to flood our bodies as his explanation for 4 hours of "work" with no results was due to "the frustrating fact I'm not even retained yet" was literally nauseating. nnThankfully we were able to find another lawyer who immediately inquired if we would like to retain her and was able to contact the prosecuting attorney within minutes. nnI do not hope to scathe this business. However, please be sure to immediately inquire about retention to avoid hours of unnecessary waiting for results of actions that are not being taken. Also, be sure to ask for which specific physical actions have been taken and contact names as direct answers were not easily provided. nnIn less words: Kassius Benson failed us.
