Mistake after mistake was made during my MIL’s probate delaying the process. Multiple forms filled out incorrectly with the county assessor/recorder causing tax bills to be generated under the estate. At some point, he had all documents to be returned to his office upon recording, so we never received any of the tax bills and he never bothered to forward them to us until they were way past delinquent and a lien had been placed on the estate. At this point, we owed more than $4000 in taxes for a house that had been sold two years prior because of his negligence. When confronted about his mistake, he basically said “FU, sue me”. Definitely would NOT recommend this office.
