I have been using Elder Law of East Tennessee for over 10 years and would (and have) recommend them many times. They have always provided excellent assistance and information with legal, financial and other elder care issues. I started with estate planning for my mother, and for several years they helped with navigating financial and care benefits. In addition to their legal assistance, their team includes a valuable Care Coordinator. Then as next of kin, I was unexpectedly needing to care for an elderly cousin’s estate who died and left a mostly invalid mother in a nursing home. Complicating the situation, all her ID's, health cards, SSA, etc., had been stolen with her son’s wallet. ELET was able to assist in establishing a POA for her and estate related documents from nothing, so we could care for my aunt in her final months while handling her affairs and estate. They were always knowledgeable and friendly, aiding in various forms with four elderly relatives and their deaths. We could not navigate these challenging processes without them walking us through each phase that was unfamiliar to us. Our family highly recommends this team for estate planning prior to needing it.
My husband is disabled and our son has special needs, and our planning is very complicated trying to accommodate all of that appropriately. We had been extremely overwhelmed trying to figure out what all should be done and decided we needed some expert guidance. Bailey made the process very easy to understand and helped us feel confident that our decisions would be the right ones for our family long-term...so much so that I've since brought my mother to update her planning as well. Thanks again!
Amelia Crotwell with Elder Law of East Tennessee was a most amazing attorney when I contacted her about my will. She made me feel so comfortable from the beginning with her confident nature. Amelia knows her business as an attorney and has compassion to go along with it. If you need any help and want it to be done right then contact Amelia. She is by far one of the best. I know without a doubt you will be happy with your decision when you contact Amelia Crotwell and be very thankful you did!
Elder Law of East Tennessee is performing an extraordinarily outstanding service for my 95 year old mother. Initially, they provided support in moving Mom from IL to Knoxville. They continue to respond to all of Mom's financial and emotional needs. It is a pleasure to highly recommend Elder Law of East Tennessee.
Elder Law of East Tennessee came highly recommend to me by one of Chattanooga's preeminate estate attorneys, and I couldn't be happier with them. Everyone I dealt with was especially kind and helpful. Bailey Schiermeyer, in particular, was exceptional at working with my mother's dementia and was very generous with her time during the late stages of my mom's life and after her death. These are fabulous people who really know their stuff - I promise you're in good hands with these folks.
