Kosnett & Durchfort

Attorney Louis Kosnett represented me in a civil matter that involved a Landlord & Tenant issue (that culminated into a UD, habitability (mold) issue, etc.). Louis and his office was outstanding in their communication. He has a proactive style in representation, and you will even get to know the nice guy. Nice guy? Who wants a nice guy attorney you ask? Aren't there enough AH attorneys? The reason that I say nice is that he knows who the client is and he is very professional in his demeanor and interaction. I also believe that he can "pull-on the AH Coat" when there is a need to, but he is also smart (strategic) enough to keep his eye on the matter to be most effective in being either "nice" or "not so nice", whatever the matter requires. I have worked with MANY attorneys as a paralegal (many years ago - Defense Employment Law, Bankruptcy, Construction Defects, and Family Law), and so I can appreciate professionalism, tact, and being able to close for the win. Louis was amazing from start-to-finish as he facilitated my matter during the COVID pandemic (2021 and that matter was ultimately resolved in 2023). I was not the easiest client, but I trusted Louis’ legal advisement without question. He is very calm, strategic, ethical (“yes, I said ethical”) and he always gave me the truth (direct, no metaphorical scenarios, just the truth) and without the need for the preemptive (from me) truth serum. I would definitely reach out to Louis if I ever required legal representation or advice. His support staff (Santiago) was also a pleasure to work with as well. To start, I want to say that the Kosnett Law Firm is fantastic since they took my case (re: CUIAB) without asking me a ton of questions up front (and the issue itself is very political in nature) and moved quickly with me because I was up against a very tight deadline (by which I mean, only two or three days tight). Before finding Kosnett, I had no success with other LA attorneys in Los Angeles (my case wasn't that complicated but the nature of it has two very extreme biases); but now, I'm glad they didn't work out because I would not have found Kosnett. I had the pleasure of working with James Kosnett, and I can attest that he is an excellent lawyer in every sense of the word: smart, capable, personable, and objective. And he did a fantastic job of defending me in two separate cases (treated as companions) he was nice enough to take on without any stress on me. He brought up aspects of the case that I hadn't considered, and it made me appreciate knowing the law -- or, failing that, knowing a really smart lawyer. I am really happy with the service they provided, since we were able to get everything out on time. We were in constant communication with one another, and I have no reservations about working together with him again in the near or far future.
