Joey Turner was retained to represent my daughter in a traffic violation (speeding) . He made promises to reduce the charges or to have them dismissed for a substantial fee. He missed the first court appearance, then he claimed that the matter was settled, but a year and a half later, we found out that the case was still open and with no reduction in charges. He has not responded to calls or texts. He is very unprofessional and impossible to communicate with. Therefore, I strongly advise against retaining him.

Joey Turner has been an exceptional attorney who did a great job in representing my fiancé in his cases. I hired Joey Turner several years ago... he ask for payment... I sent the payment... I was told that I could call him anytime! Well that didn't work because he never answered... I called so many times... then someone gave me a number to reach a lady that worked for him...I did reach her a few times but she was unable to get him to call me back!... I received something in the mail with my court date on it... I tried & tried to call Joey... he didn't respond until 8:00 pm the night before the court was scheduled the next day.... he said that he couldn't be at court because he would be in Effingham County court, he assured me that he had contacted The court and got it postponed!!! So that was the last time I heard from Joey... I then hired another lawyer... at my 1st appearance in court with my new attorney I learned that on the court records I received a contempt of court for that one job that Joey assured me he done!!!! And he did Nothing!!!! He also refused to give back any of the money that I had paid him to do NOTHING!!!! Do not hire this man!!!! I only gave him one star on this review because I couldn't choose zero!!! Shame on you Joey Turner!!!!

Reposting the review left by my wife, and Joey Turner's response. HE said he did favorable by us (me) yet he still refuses to return the remainder of the retainer we paid him over a year ago. Will not return phone calls, text messages, or emails. So our review is still negative, and we still cant get our money back over 6 months later. He agreed in February 28th, 2023 to return money to us as as of September 22, 2023 has still not done so. Would leave a negative rating if possible. He is quick to take a large retainer, not do ANY filings in 7 months, and has every excuse possible if and when you can get a hold of him. I normally don't even do reviews unless their a five star. I'm in a business and know how it can be sometimes but this is absolutely ridiculous. I hired Mr Joey to represent a very special person to me and he promised to right by him. He agreed on payments after the initial down payment of what I could pay I paid him in full on everything even though throughout this whole process I might have spoke with him twice. He never went to the jail to talk to said client never returned calls. I even paid for a rehab on my own to get things rolling and still nothing then he had court and 2 days before court he put the paper in that he couldn't make it there and didn't even bother to let his client or us know anything I have still tried to reach him I work hard just like everybody else for my money and just want my money back and can't even get him to return calls or texts on that I've now hired another attorney and within a couple hours of paying he's already met with the client . He been sitting in jail going on almost 4 months I wouldn't recommend him to anybody after this and personally the only thing that can fix my review or my opinion is if he stands good on returning honest money that he didn't do anything for
