Once I stated I wanted my money back he said with all the texting and calls that there wasn't any left, But majority of those calls and emails, text, Where personal not work related... He screwed me and my family....... Do not go to him... He also recently got arrested

Jim is an amazing attorney. I had an emergency custody case and he happily took it on and I couldn’t have asked for a better attorney. He made me feel like a priority and kept me calm. I ended up with full custody and divorced. Everything I needed to make sure my kids were safe was exactly what I got. Jim is not only a great attorney but a good person that cares about you as a person and not just a client. I would highly recommend him.

The only reason there are any positive reviews posted here is because after the one from Joni was posted, Jim sent out a mass email to all of his clients (including me), and ask that everyone go to his website and give him a good review. So none of these people felt good enough about Jim to write these reviews without being asked and maybe pressured. My wife and I were fooled at first by Jim's energetic willingness to start on our case immediately. He is good at telling you what you want to hear, taking your money, then not putting very much effort into the case. The truth always has a way of surfacing, and soon we started to see that we had picked the wrong attorney and wasted $5,000, but it was too late. He actually started to show favor and concern for my ex-wife (the opposing party). He would correspond with her through email, edit the messages, then forward them to me after he took out what he didn't want me to see. I watched him lie to my face when I knew the truth already. The thing that stood out to me was he was good at it. I guess that means he's been doing it for a while. If you're looking for honesty, integrity, and reliability then Jim O'Connor is not the one. There are much more to choose from.
