I knew I wanted to retain this office for my legal matter when during my initial consultation, Louis stopped during the middle of our conversation to confirm information with the other attorney and said that he wanted to be sure he was giving me correct information and did not want to steer me in the wrong direction. During the course of my legal matter, I learned quite a bit from Louis. He has demonstrated that he is extremely knowledgeable. Sylvia, the paralegal, has been incredibly helpful and thorough. Overall I am very pleased with the representation this office has provided and would absolutely recommend them.

Not to be trusted! We agreed to three Thousand flat fee.then demand a National $1000 bringing the total to $4000. I did the research to get sheriffs reports to provide to him. Sheriffs Office one sheriffs report to be requested by attorney. After checking with the sheriffs department they do not show a request from attorney. Attorney was not prepared for court showed up five minutes to discuss the case before trial. Paralegal was not available prior to trial was told he was on vacation then told he had Covid. The attorney never met prior to trial. Did very little if any defense in my case. Win at trial I tried to speak it was told to shut up by the attorney. I paid the extra thousand dollars to ensure he would represent Me. Did very little if any thing for preparation to go to trial costing me thousands of dollars and loss of civil rights. All they’re interested in is taking your funds they will not put the work in you pay for

I am not a person that normally gives reviews but in this case I feel an obligation to warn other people, especially those going through hardship as I was. I would not recommend this attorney for family law, my experience was a nightmare. My consultation was with the son Louis Lyons who seemed nice and like he really cared about my case. After I paid my retainer, I was switched to Scott Lyons with no explanation and he was not filing my paperwork timely, would go weeks ignoring questions and I followed up he was rude and condescending, and seemed to talk down to me in a strange way for asking reasonable questions like filing deadlines and what we were going to say in court (which is what I hired him for), he didn't know if I was the petitioner or the respondent or anything about my case, got angry and yelled in a really unhinged way when I asked him to file one piece of documentation over 15 days past the filing deadline. I never got to work with the attorney I hired and paid for. I had to prepare/proof almost all of my own paperwork as it was initially prepared carelessly with typos, names wrong, etc. He had his paralegal call me and ask why I was being difficult for asking for typos to be fixed. The office staff seemed to get irritated when I asked for things to be fixed or filed timely. I was very understanding and professional but they were not. I had to terminate his representation which was hurting my case and I lost thousands of dollars because he kept all of my unearned retainer and refused to provide me an itemized bill. So much more detail I could go into but if you are in need of legal help during a divorce I highly recommend just going to Fresno. Don't believe the 'positive' reviews like I did. No, I am not being unreasonable. Paying for a service and then asking for it to be performed competently is not unreasonable. There are about 20 other reviews that had the EXACT same experience as me in recent months, it really is a shame that happened to so many people.
