Alec is a likely a good lawyer where there is no litigation involved. I hired Alec to represent me in my divorce and had an absolutely terrible experience. I ended up having to let him go as his expenses were used against me in court hearings. 1. He is very expensive. 2. His strategy and approach to the case caused more litigation than was necessary. 3. His negotiating skills were not at all effective and resulted in much higher than normal settlements. 4. He had no idea after 30+ years what alimony could be and likely would be. 5. I lost most of all my retirement in a 50/50 state after 30+ years of saving for it. In all, from my retirement almost 200K was spent on legal costs alone where I was stuck paying legal on both sides and most of this was on him. I almost lost my home, car, and everything in the divorce. His strategy resulted in tremendous disputed divorce proceedings and now my life is ruined over it. I would not recommend Alec if the case is litigated. He is not good in court. This case should have not cost more Than 10K it was only one item to negotiate at the beginning and that was alimony. He really didn’t do anything to help me come to a reasonable settlement and ended up doing life long damage beyond my ability to recover from. With 30+ years this should have been a slam dunk for him, and it was anything but that.
