After we signed closing paperwork on a property in September 2020 in Orange County area of NC, we went off to lunch to celebrate. Before we could even get out of the car to eat, we were called back to the office because they realized that they never updated our marital status. We had to rush back to the office to ensure the deed would have any possibility of being updated that same day. We got married the same weekend we went under contract, which everybody knew. Closing was a month later on a Friday afternoon before a holiday weekend. Having the deed updated was being cut close and nobody could guarantee it would be done. So unnecessarily stressful, especially since they did not have our information accurate. Not sure why I made the mistake of asking them to help me with a very simple cash property purchase, but they became so rude on the email that I decided people should know that seeking a different closing attorney is probably the best plan. Their customer service and attention to detail is abhorrent.

As a Realtor, this was my go to recommendation as far as closing attorneys. That is no longer the case after the experience my buyer and I had at my most recent closing. They were short with my buyer and I every time we had a question or needed an update on the file. We would have to call multiple times before anyone would answer and then it was a nightmare talking to staff. The process was not clear for my buyer nor I and we are very sorry that we chose them. I will not be back nor recommending them to anyone from here on out.
