Disappointed with the lack of professionalism and common courtesy from the staff of this firm. I was contacted to be a potential witness for a client I have never met. But trying to do the right thing for someone who needed help, I took time out of my day to respond to emails and take phone calls. Originally I was told my testimony would not be needed. A month later I received a request to appear for a deposition— which was surprising since I was told that wouldn’t be needed. But nevertheless, I agreed. I took time off from work to be available. Then, the day of the deposition, I emailed asking how I should connect because I hadn’t been given a zoom link yet. I received a response 4 hours before the deposition that they no longer needed my testimony. I voiced my frustration that I wasn’t informed sooner and that I had dedicated time to this and received no apology or response back in return. The clerk I was conversing with was Anya. I think a profession as serious as one that deals with the Law and personal injury, I expect better lines of communication. Hopefully their paying clients are not treated this way— only just the good samaritans like me.
