Max Kinman is a great man and an incredible attorney. He accepted my medical malpractice case after I had been turned down by every other attorney in the city. I owe a great debt of gratitude to Max for advocating for me throughout the entire process and supporting me. He understands the physical & emotional impact malpractice cases have on his clients, and does an incredible job at supporting them through the painful process of re-living the events during trial. Thank you, Max, for your relentless work on my case and for all the emotional support you provided throughout. Sincerely, Michael Sorrell

I lost my Marine Veteran husband to metastatic melanoma. During his illness and treatments, we had been informed by providers and administrators of the VA Hospital in charge of his care that we were within our rights to file a Tort Claim due to a significant oversight in his care, one that prevented a more timely diagnosis that likely would have extended his life and the quality of his remaining days. When we sought help to file this claim we basically got the run-around, encountering resistance and negativity from the professionals we consulted. Eventually, we ran out of energy. Out of necessity we had to let the Tort Claim go as we focused on my husband’s increasing healthcare needs. Many months after his death, at my family’s urging I decided to revisit the Tort Claim. I felt nervous and wary of possibly facing the same brick walls we had encountered before. I referenced my state’s Bar Association listings and sent out a blanket email explaining my situation to a number of attorneys. Several attorneys responded, but Maxwell Kinman was the first to respond with a phone call. Our conversation led to an in-person appointment. After he reviewed the VA information I had amassed, he confidently assured me that he could help. That was the only face-to-face meeting; the rest he was able to handle by phone or email. Max kept me apprised throughout the process, and invited me to call him any time I needed. He promptly and personally responded to my emails and returned my calls. Max explained procedures, forms, etc., to me with patience and in language I could understand. He negotiated on my behalf when I would have settled for less. Throughout the Tort Process I never doubted that Max was on my side, a true advocate. Ultimately, Max went over and above, and the outcome was beyond my expectations. Many, many overdue thanks to Maxwell Kinman.

On October the 12,2022 Attorney Kinman called me and told me he and Veterans Affairs Attorney had reached an agreement that I would receive an extra schedule award and that I should hear something within 30 days. I asked Attorney Kinman to send me a copy of their agreement, but I never heard or received anything from him or his associates after repeated phone calls. Around January the second of 2023 I received a letter from the Veteran Affairs. stating claim denied. I have no written evidence of what was said in the agreement to support what he told me.I feel cheated and deceived because Attorney Kinman did not fight for me and refused to contact me to this day. Will someone please help me find justice?

For years I had been in a situation with the VA where I was attempting to get a service connected death for my deceased husband who was an Army veteran. Everyone with whom I was associated in dealing with the case believed in the case as much as I did, and I believed in it 100 percent. The first VA attorney and I both did tons of research to prove my case. When she later needed to make plans to retire, I began receiving many letters from other attorneys wishing to represent me. After carefully reviewing the credentials, I chose Maxwell Kinman from Mason, OH, to represent my case with the VA. From the very beginning, Mr. Kinman (like the first attorney) believed in me and in my case and went to work on my behalf, through appeals, etc. His expertise and diligence (and belief in my case) was outstanding and, finally, in December 2018, my case was finalized to much satisfaction and relief. I cannot say enough about Mr. Kinman and his diligence and expertise. I recommend him very highly, and with much appreciation for what he has achieved.

Chris Alexander was referred to me by a close friend. Chris is well versed in legal custody. He challenged me to understand that custody is NOT a power play between the wills of parents nor is it tolerated by the courts, but that it’s about knowing what you want to see happen and be able to explain & prove why it would foremost be in the best interest of my son. He also taught me that I must trust him to do his job which meant my hyper-vigilance was of no assistance to me nor how he needed to prepare for my custody case. My lack of knowledge of the law was the reason for my anxiety and I am sure overwhelming to my attorney. Chris never let that get to him nor in the way of executing the various phases of my case. At one point through our journey during one of my anxiety moments, he sat me down and said “maybe I am not the attorney for you”. Well, I considered it but could not find legitimate reasons to dismiss him. This challenged me to do a better job at trustIng him to do his job and that is what I did. It was important to the both of us to be on the same page as well as trust him to do his job well. I should have wrote this review awhile ago to share what an amazing family law attorney Chris was for me. Thank you Chris for challenging me to understand that not returning every call was not a sign of you not doing your job. The result of your representation for my custody case was me being awarded FULL Custody and Residential parent! Chris, You should drop the mic now! I should at least give you that or you should say “Kim, I told you so!”
