This law firm initially stood out in my search, prompting me to engage them for my workers' comp case. During the initial stages, they were prompt, following up and addressing all my questions. However, a significant shift occurred once I signed the retainer agreement. Subsequent to this, my attempts to reach them via calls or emails went unanswered. In the initial two weeks, they only submitted the medical report I provided to my insurance company and assigned a treating physician to my case. No paperwork was filed with the court. Despite multiple attempts to communicate with them, I eventually opted to hire another attorney. Releasing our claim file from their possession took almost 10 days, and it consisted of only a couple of pages. Moreover, they placed a lien on my case, requesting funds from my new attorney. It remains unclear why they initiated a lien, considering their minimal involvement, likely spending less than 30 minutes on submitting my paperwork to the insurance company and assigning a treating physician to my case. In conclusion, it is crucial to conduct thorough online research and not solely rely on top reviews. It's advisable to read all reviews, including the negative ones, to make an informed decision.
