We were forced to use this office from our mortgage lender. Buying a house is already difficult in NY, but these guys made the process miserable. We were all set to close and the only people that wouldn't confirm is their office, particularly Michael Bilbao. They never answered emails or phone calls. When I finally got Michael on the phone he told me "do you know who the most important person in your home buying process is?" I said "me, the customer, the one paying all the money" and he replied "no, it's me!". After going on and on about how important he is and how I know nothing, he didn't even bother to show up to the closing, he sent an associate. Michael Bilbao is incredibly rude and condescending. Avoid working with them if you can, they contribute nothing of value to the home buying process- only add to your stress. If Chase and RM/QL didn't force you to use them surely they'd be out of business.
Lauren Suriano was so helpful through our closing. It was a stressful process but Lauren was diligent, communicated with us and the other party promptly, and was reassuring. I would recommend her to my friends and family.
This is Chase bank's attorney for facilitating NY mortgages. I won't go into the drawn out and crooked process of getting a mortgage in NY or the blithe incompetence of Chase. However, this office was responsible to delaying the process significantly, they were either completely unfamiliar with the local rules (or just did not care), and they were scornful and condescending in correspondence that was accidentally forwarded to us. I would say avoid them but if your bank chooses them you don't have much recourse.
? Upon a recommendation, I retained attorney Lauren at Law Offices of Frederick J. Giachetti for a wills and trusts matter. I worked one-on-one with her throughout the representation. She was completely professional at all times, and handled the matter in a timely, efficient, and organized manner.
I was forced to use this firm because my mortgage bank used them. The firm handled all paperwork, and was responsible for scheduling the final document signing with me. They no-showed three times without contacting me. I relayed this to my mortgage agent and they said they hated working with Giachetti for how they handled documents and communication, and wished they could work with a different law firm.
