My journey on divorce started years before I actually filed for it which created lot of anxiety and to top it off it was international divorce with family’s lack of support. I approached many lawyers who told me elaborate process and gave many options but nothing gave me clarity. When I approached Melissa, we did one on one on zoom due to Covid19, she was very clear in her words about the process and time expectations. Although Covid19 put us in delay with courts, she was never faltered in the process which kept me neutral with my emotions and kept me focused on my career and health. Ms. Polk assisted me with my divorce case. I cannot recommend her enough. I was impressed with Ms. Polk's courtroom skills and her ability to hold her own against a much more experienced, aggressive attorney. Her fees were reasonable and her office manager was very good about keeping me updated regarding my bill and how much I had on retainer. Hopefully, I never have to go through this experience again but if I do, I will not hesitate to retain Ms. Polk and her staff.

If you see 5 stars she did those herself or bullied someone to do it !! I’ve never seen anyone lie as much as this person. She manipulates the judges and they allow her too. She met her match with me. She thinks she’s winning and even if she really wins something, I will be the constant reminder that free speech lives. This woman stretched out our family law case two more years and out of 15 pages on the docket over 6.5 years, 11 of those pages during a year and a half are just from her. What that means is she took my ex husband for enough money that he could’ve bought a few properties! She will immediately attack this post....lol probably in her sleep! But trust me when I say that you will waste your money because family court really is a racket. When she started on our case, 4 years had passed. This was the first time the attorneys met with our 7th judge (it’s been nine now). They met in chambers and decided how the case would go and whose turn it was to win. That’s what they do. The judges and attorneys look out for each other and drain you of your money. Look how many family law attorneys there are now. They aren’t winning with me cuz I’m always a step ahead but it’s so bad that the clerks are in on it too. If you represent yourself they all work together to deny everything from you and they break the law to do it. They turned my husband into a monster who doesn’t even see his kids after 28 years. He is sick, Melissa Polk is sick and the entire thing is absolutely corrupt. I raised my kids now so I don’t care what they do to me. If something happens to me then it’s them. Trust me Don’t get married with a state license cuz they actually own your marriage and if it ends they take you for everything
