Very unprofessional. I meet with her about my case on the walk from her office to the court house. Not only did she not use the information that was provided to her, she had to be reminded several times to stand to address the court. The real embarrassment was when she approached the bench wearing only one shoe. She had no clue what she was doing and should not be practicing law. When confronted about her actions after court an hour and a half later when she made a mad dash for her office to hide, she projected her utter failure on her client. She had police reports, and tons of documentation to make sure that my son not be with his abusive alcoholic mother. It didn't go that way because she didn't even ask the questions that I was writing down for her. Her legal aid should be running her office. That is the only reason why people go to her in the first place.

This attorney is the worst of the worst. She handled my late mothers estate poorly. Never returned calls, was reprimanded by the judge several times and basically we lost everything.I would not recommend her to do any kind of legal work. I had to hire a separate lawyer just to get her to do her job. Horrible!!

Melissa was my lawyer in a divorce. She was late for the court hearing. When the other lawyer was calling me a lier on the stand i thought Melissa should have spoken up but she didnt. We went to mediation and she sat there the whole time and did not say a word. My ex was ordered to pay me $1500.00 a month to help with bills he has not paid me. When i asked the mediator about it he said to get my lawyer to file a complaint. I looked at her and i said i asked you 2 months ago to file. She said you werent paying me. I said because you had me sign a form that you would get paid when i got money from my ex. She said well you didnt have no money any way so i was saving you money. I told her you cost me money. Then my ex came back with a amount of $60000.00 that he would pay me. My lawyer told me to take it because if we went to court i wouldnt get a dime. I thought i was gonna get a pittbull in the court room but all i got was a dog with its tail between his legs. She should not be a lawyer

Milissa is a fierce advocate in her representation. She is extremely smart and capable. She doesn’t back down or quit and I’m proud to have her in my corner. She is very easy to work with.

I couldn’t have had better help. Mrs Barrick was prepared and knew every turn my ex husband and his lawyer would make and she didn’t back down.
