David Fry my former attorney and the public defenders office are absolutely horrible and I was a 30 year litigation attorney that got arrested on disputed facts. My rights were waived at my bond hearing without my permission in writing or notice to me or my family and accordingly the judge granted me a new bond hearing which is almost never done. I was able to get private counsel after sitting for 11 months with no bond as I lost my job, pets and all possessions. On the day of the new bond hearing I was released with simple battery charges and a seven year probation after being initially charged with attempted murder on a disabled person. At all cost dont use the public defender Broward find a way to take a loan and get private counsel. The system stinks in Broward including the Public Defender.

I don’t recommend calling in to acquire information about a case because your attorney/public defender will either be on break, out of the country, fired, or completely inadequate to complete something as simple as a phone call (that they themselves are mandated to do). However, the receptionists/operators seem to pick up the slack for inadequate workers.

Kory P. Hill was assigned to my son's case. I can say that I am beyond pleased with the professional service, support and guidance we received from him and his team. He fought for the wellbeing of my son, and was very transparent with us. He returned our phone call in a timely manner and was straight to the point. I highly recommend Mr. Hill and his team for any juvenile case.

Kory P Hill carries that office! The only one TRUE public defender! Everyone else are not defenders just pretenders!

From seeing all the one-star ratings.. and now finally experiencing no operator. No contact no response.. where is the taxpayer's money going? This is ridiculous!! I'm not saying that your job is easy but then again you signed up for it.
