Law Office Of Regina Y. Kane, Pllc

I did a Google search for immigration lawyers and Regina Kane's name was the first one in the search results. She didn't have any Yelp reviews and only a couple of Google reviews but her website looked good and her resume was very impressive. According to her website she has an office in Virginia Beach and an office in Washington, DC. I checked with the Virginia Bar Association but she is not a member, I discovered that she is a member of the DC Bar Association so everything looks good. I went ahead and called the local number listed on her website. nnI was surprised and a little confused when the phone was answered with a simple, "hello" and nothing more. No mention of the business name or anything else, just a hello. I asked if this was the law office of Regina Kane and the woman told me yes. I briefly explained what I was looking for and she asked if I wanted to make an appointment to see her. I said I did so she suggested noon the following day. She gave me directions to her office. After hanging up I realized she hadn't even asked my name or for phone number. This wasn't a huge deal since I figured she had my number on the caller ID anyway but still it seemed a little odd.nnThe next day my wife and I arrived at her College Park Square office suite promptly at noon but the office was locked up and the lights were off. According to the placards on the door, she shares this space with another business. There was no response to our repeated knocking on the door. We waited about ten minutes then I tried calling her. My call went unanswered with no message or voice mail options. How strange for a business to have a phone that just rings unanswered and doesn't afford the option to leave a message or even play a recording of some kind. We waited until about 12:25 then departed the premises. nnI never received a phone call or any type of subsequent communication so I was deeply disappointed in having wasted my time. I have an appointment next week with a different attorney, I'm sure the experience will be much better.
