We ended up firing Mr. Holland a quarter of the way through our family case. We ended up representing ourselves. He is very long winded and definitely likes to talk. Not a favorite of a judge who just wants to get things settled quickly. He spent hours on the phone with the other party and charged us for every minute. $8000 bill for a few phone calls and giving into every demand was a complete joke. Even when I went to pay his lousy bill he wouldn't accept a credit card anymore, even when it was in our signed agreement that he would take credit. He told me I needed to take out cash from my credit card at a higher interest rate to pay him. I at lease won that fight, making him use someone else's credit machine when he didn't even have one. Beware, do not hire him. Waste of money and effort. If you are not up for paying him over $10,000 on a case where you could represent yourself and pay way less in fines, judgements or child support regardless, just take your chances or hire someone else.
