I feel obligated to give a 5 star rating to UTD. I graduated in 2015, BSME. They had great relationships with industry partners and an internship fair that helped me get my foot in the door at my current employer of 8 years now. The engineering senior design program was excellent with each team getting paired with a local company with a real problem to solve. Now for some critiques: a majority of my mechanical engineering classes were led by professors who were seemingly only interested in research and either loathed teaching or had no teaching skills. There was also no mat lab or engineering software integration with the classes with the exception of CAD design class. That was a huge shortcoming.

Excellent university, great programs in business and engineering. My husband got his bachelor's degree in computer science from UT Dallas. Great education and superb college experience here. Beautiful campus. Go Comets!

Academics are good. Basketball program has racist roots starting from the coach. May just be his personality.

Scam..Submitted Cafeteria meal plan change for my son in first year at UTD. Foodservice guys are not picking up the call, nor responding to voicemail or replying to change request form submission. Had to pay full amount as the bursar office did not want to adjust payment amount. It is a scam, they are working in tandem and scheming students. Please avoid this university if you have other options.

Great place.. Has given me an opportunity to meet diversified people and learn from them. It has been the fastest growing University in the United States, it feels me great that I'm a part of such a great school. # Comets # Whoosh
