Mr Hill was assigned to my son’s case at the end of October. It is now the getting towards the end of December and we haven’t heard a word from him. He even had a hearing on the case Dec 4th which we have heard nothing about. His lack of communication has to constitute ineffective council. Motions need to be filed that has to be filed through him but can’t be because he refuses to communicate. I have complained to the Oregon Staye Bar? And. The Linn-Benton Bar. I suggest you not bother to use him and if he is assigned your case you immediately ask for someone else.

After failing to keep an appointment Mr. Hill decided to show up to my hearing and the first words to the judge were "Mr. Crowley would no longer like me to represent him and I'd like to be removed from his case.", which was an absolute lie, I had not even yet spoken to the man. Subsequently, when I called his office, he informed me that he thought I was guilty and just needed to take the plea bargain and be happy. I asked him to contact another court in another matter and he said he didn't care about what was going on in the other court (although the court date conflicted with one another) he stated that it wasn't his problem and maybe I should seek different representation since we could not mutually communicate effectively. So on top of openly lying in open court, he has no interest in seeing me get a fair trial or granting me the presumption of innocence. This seems to be the clearest case of ineffective assistance of counsel I have ever encountered or heard of for that matter.

He does not return phone calls. He says he is doing things on my case but i have no proof. I dont believe that he can just not contact or work on a case with a client that has been dealing with the court system for over a year. He has said he filed papers about my case i never heard anything from him about it. I dont have any faith in the system and i do not trust that he is doing anything in my best interest for my case.

At first he was a very good lawyer and his assistant is amazing on staying on top of reminding clients when their court date is the day before and contacting them prior to court. But now here recently we've been trying to contact Mr Hill for over 3 weeks and he still hasn't returned our phone call's back to at least schedule an appointment to speak with him...
