Being a young, married couple with no children, estate planning was not the first thing on our minds. But understanding the need to plan for the unexpected, my husband and I set up a meeting with Mr. Burk to discuss our estate planning options. Immediately he made us feel at ease and welcome. He understands that planning for death or incapacity is not an easy subject to discuss, but he explained everything in simple, clear terms. He related to us on a human level, not just as an attorney, and he took his time with us to answer our questions and to lay out an estate plan that was customized for us. After we left his office, my husband (who told me before the meeting that he didn't really understand why we were doing this, because no one else our age is doing this) said to me that he was glad we did this, he feels really good about it, and that Mr. Burk made it so easy. It is never to early to plan for the future. We work hard for the things we have, and want to ensure that if something were to happen to us, our families would at least be able to deal with our estate without too much hassle and receive our property seamlessly. I can't emphasize enough just how easy Mr. Burk made this. He is not only highly experienced and knowledgeable about estate planning, he is genuine and truly cares about his clients. I am so glad that we took the plunge and did our estate planning. There is a peace of mind knowing that should the unexpected happen, we won't be leaving a mess for our families.
