Kosnett Law Firm

To start, I want to say that the Kosnett Law Firm is fantastic since they took my case (re: CUIAB) without asking me a ton of questions up front (and the issue itself is very political in nature) and moved quickly with me because I was up against a very tight deadline (by which I mean, only two or three days tight). Before finding Kosnett, I had no success with other LA attorneys in Los Angeles (my case wasn't that complicated but the nature of it has two very extreme biases); but now, I'm glad they didn't work out because I would not have found Kosnett. I had the pleasure of working with James Kosnett, and I can attest that he is an excellent lawyer in every sense of the word: smart, capable, personable, and objective. And he did a fantastic job of defending me in two separate cases (treated as companions) he was nice enough to take on without any stress on me. He brought up aspects of the case that I hadn't considered, and it made me appreciate knowing the law -- or, failing that, knowing a really smart lawyer. I am really happy with the service they provided, since we were able to get everything out on time. We were in constant communication with one another, and I have no reservations about working together with him again in the near or far future. Regardless of the result of my appeal, choosing Kosnett as my legal representative was definitely the way to go! Thank you Kosnett Law! :)

James Kosnett and his associate Santiago helped to navigate what was totally unfamiliar ground for me in dealing with the EDD. I really appreciated their guidance through this stressful time and the outcome was a big relief. I recently sent them an S.O.S. for something I needed direction on by the next day. They responded within a few hours and where able to give me good advice that was very helpful. I greatly appreciate their firm. I would recommend their expertise on any legal matters.

This law firm is one of the worst I’ve ever worked with. I reached out to them initially for a university related case with a Professor. The main person, Kosnett, makes a bunch of false promises, saying that the case is easy and that he’ll be able to win. He guided me on the steps to take and drafted the letters for the university senate to review. The amount of proof was abundant and enough for any review board to see false doing. Kosnett ended up losing the case and not refunding any of the amount paid despite his promises. He even went farther and asked for more money to try again despite his failure with the initial payment. Don’t trust a word the staff says just trust yourself. Never doing business here again.

Updated to: There are better lawyers, seriously. He wasn't attentive or understood the situation and I felt ignored. He had a problem with due dates. I wasn't given time to review submitted documents and I didn't have any input to what was submitted to the courts. The only good is the he obtained some documents that I the school refused to provide for me. It means I've still got a shot to win this which might be worth the initial investment.
