They were my law firm through Prepaid Legal and it took several days for an attorney to call me back after repeated phone calls, then after I sent in the required paperwork, it was a week until I heard back. I had to keep calling this firm to get advice for a lawsuit, then after 2 weeks, the lawyer finally called back with some lame advice. They were not helpful and I think they didn't want to bother with me because I wasn't a case for them. I've used them for many many years in the past. They used to be good but now I won't subscribe to Prepaid Legal again. Just Answer gave me better advice than this place.

Matthew May was my attorney for 2 months. Outside of getting legal counsel on our first initial call, he was not helpful. It took days sometimes weeks to get in touch with him and when we did he was slow in responding to important and time sensitive documents, rude in tone, dismissive and condescending. Matthew didn't pay attention to the case and any of the latest updates even though he was copied on every email. He would draft old outdated information that was no longer relevant because he wasn't paying attention to detail. He didn't take the case seriously and we had to do everything on our own re: communicating with the other party to recoup lost funds without Matthew May's involvement. On the last call with Matthew May he talked over us and hung up the phone in our face while we were still talking. We cancelled our membership immediately afterwards. Matthew May is unprofessional. I would not recommend him as an attorney and would strongly suggest working with someone who has more couth.

This 5-star review is for the worker’s comp attorney, Kristoffer Garrison. He was the first and also the last worker’s comp attorney assigned to me by Parker Stanbury. I have worked with quite a few attorneys on different cases and none of them could compare to Kris. He’s been a great coach. He’s exceptionally knowledgeable. He always patiently listens and takes his time to thoroughly explains my options; our phone conversations are always productive. He’s very respectful and never rushed off during our calls. He has everything that I, as a client, is looking for. He’s the only reason that I’m sustaining my membership with them. I have spoken with the other two attorneys from consumer finance law and my experiences with them were so bad to the point I almost canceled my membership no question… but hey 100% Kris is your go to guy when it comes to workers’ comp law!!!

A Disgraceful Display of Unprofessionalism and Proven History of Client Mistreatment (see other reviews) My experience with Parker Stanbury Law Firm - and LegalShield who married me to them - was nothing short of appalling. Over the course of a year, I was subjected to repeated instances of disrespect, rudeness, and outright hostility from every attorney I interacted with (with the exception of one). The root cause of this mistreatment? My communication impairment. Despite beginning each call with a brief medical alert to explain my situation—comparable to Tourette’s in its involuntary nature—I was met with aggressive and unprofessional behavior. I was repeatedly mocked, yelled at, and hung up on. I find it devastating there is another neurodivergent review with the same experience. Is hanging up on a disability refusal of service for discrimination? Particularly after the attorney offers you the appropriate solution only to slam the phone down because you can’t answer his questions fast enough? I asked my bank this question when filing claims against LegalShield, and will ask BBB and the Board the same. The attorneys at Parker Stanbury, within minutes of each call, hit you HARD with rapid-fire questions as if being crossed for murder. This aggressive questioning style would be difficult for anyone to manage, not just someone with a communication impairment. Instead of showing compassion or adjusting their approach to the client, they steamrolled over me as if I were an inconvenience, often cutting me off and, ultimately hanging up on me. EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. Even when I raised concerns with their Parker Stanbury supervisors and LegalShield supervisors, I was met with shock and disgust at my treatment by attorneys—only to have those same supervisors treat me just as poorly a week later. Calls would go unreturned for weeks, and when I followed up, I was dismissed or ignored. It’s as if the basic human decency of returning a call was beyond their grasp. They completely destroyed my case with such incompetence. The final straw came when one attorney had the audacity to claim he knew more about my disability than I did, arguing I should control symptoms I’d already told him were outside of my control. He then announced that he was going to hang up on me and promptly did so. This experience stands in stark contrast to a volunteer attorney I met with the following day, who spent 30 minutes with me, explaining my rights, and giving me actionable advice—all without being paid a cent. The fact that a retired, unpaid attorney treated me with more respect and kindness than the highly-paid “professionals” at Parker Stanbury speaks volumes. The most outrageous difference; when I told the Parker Stanbury attorney I was afraid; he dismissed me. The volunteer attorney explained in legal detail why I had no reason to fear. It couldn’t have been easier to explain or understand. Why wouldn’t Parker Stanbury offer such easy to understand and quick to communicate critical info? Parker Stanbury’s treatment of clients, and LegalShield by default, toward those who are vulnerable or in legal distress, is absolutely disgusting. Their complete lack of care, professionalism, and basic human decency is shocking. I wanted to file a complaint against the last attorney mentioned but LegalShield said I couldn’t as I’d canceled my membership on that call. And despite being paid through the end of the month, I’d have to pay again to complain. I’d already submitted one of these complaint forma before. These “investigations” go nowhere - or the reviews section wouldn’t look like this. I cannot stress enough how important it is to stay away from this firm. No one deserves to be treated the way I was, especially by a business that is supposed to be helping you. They’ve destroyed my case, they denied to serve me on most occasions, they’ve made offers of service and redacted them because they could. If you value your dignity, sense of self, and mental health and need real legal help, please look elsewhere.

Kelly Sheridan is the rudest, most unprofessional attorney I have ever spoken to. She consistently makes me feel rushed on the phone and as if I'm a burden to her, even though I try to keep things brief and to the point. She doesn't greet you on the call or respond to greetings such as "good morning" and when she deems the call concluded she abruptly hangs up. The first time I spoke with her I thought it was just an isolated incident or she was having a bad day but seems like it's the norm with her.
