I used Dane's services when filing bankruptcy in 2018. I found that he is a rare breed of attorney these days. Dane is one of those modern day 'old school' lawyers who knows how to advocate for his client and use the system to help people and isn't afraid to do so! Additionally I had shopped a good number of local attorneys before choosing Dane and based on the value he provides he is the best on the market. On top of that, I recently got a notice from the IRS about my 2018 tax filing. I called Dane's office with some questions and not only did he take his valuable time to get the information I needed, he went the extra mile to research the proper IRS forms, read the instructions, and work through this complex (to me) tax form right there on the phone. For those interested in the details, a creditor had taken a tax write off on my debt subsequent to my bankruptcy but neglected to provide me with a 1099 so I could include it in my 2018 tax filing. Now, 2 years later, the IRS adds this to my income for that year as 'debt cancellation' and sends me a bill for an additional $985. Dane advised me to return the response form along with the appropriate IRS form 982. (please note: Dane does not do taxes but used his astute mind to help a fellow traveler 'stranded' on the roadside navigate a strange tax form AND would NOT accept any payment from me for his time!!!)
