I have been working with Ed Fair as my music attorney since 1993. I have always found him to be clear and concise about his advice. He has always been patient with my questions regarding my contracts, and he answers them in a way that I can understand the underlying issues. I love the fact that he doesn't talk to me in "legalese". I highly recommend Mr. Fair as a music attorney. He is by far the best that I have worked with throughout my career as a film/TV music composer and songwriter, and I will continue to work with Ed on my future projects.

I have been very pleased with the legal advice & services I have received from Ed Fair over the past 4 years. But that changed abruptly this morning, when Ed Fair fired me as a client -- all because I'd gotten crosswise with an accountant - Mike Wylie of Wylie Business Management, Dripping Springs, that Ed had recommended to me. To quote Ed Fair on this, his Termination of Representation letter to me reads: "Given that exchange [Between Mike Wylie and myself], and given that I have a long-standing relationship with Mike in working with other clients, my continuing representation of you would be a conflict of interest which requires my termination of such representation pursuant to the Texas Disciplinary Rules of Professional Conduct." So BEWARE -- IF Ed Fair recommends Mike Wylie and Wylie Business Management to you, and you hire Mike Wylie, and you, too, become dissatisfied with Mike's exorbitant rates, *and you dare to complaint about paying $10,580 for 2 years of tax preparation on a business that sold $250+/- books in one year, you can count on Ed Fair to fire you, too! Because it's clear to me from this experience that Ed Fair is not any type of different attorney than any other lawyer, despite his "feel-good, I'm a nice guy" persona. Ed Fair is only about how much money he can make off you, and his other professional relationships who help him maintain financial & legal control over their so-called "clients." So called "clients" who cannot object & complain about Ed Fair's recommended fellow professionals, unless they, too, want to find themselves without legal representation. Bottom line: Ed Fair cares a lot more about his fellow accounting professionals, than he does YOU. BUYER of legal services from Ed Fair -- YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED! If you have any questions about this review of Ed Fair and the accountant Mike Wylie and Wylie Business Management, and their interlocking business relationships that do not allow you to fire one, without losing the other, please feel free to message me via Google+ page.
