My paperwork didn't match with theirs. Went through a giant hassle trying to fix it all. But remembered all of my past experiences trying to fix it. I give em 5 stars

They claim they are a debt collector and here to collect a debt, but out of 4 times I have contacted them to make payment arrangements they do not want my payments. They do not want any money you can give, they either want it all or nothing. Now I'm facing a judgement because this office won't accept payment arrangements and want to go to court. I'm sure they want to up the amount owed, and proceed with the court fees to get more money. I'm sure of it.

I just called and spoke with Chris. I let him know a piece of mail was sent to my address and the recipient of the letter doesn't live here. So much for taking the time to notify so they could get going on what they need to do to get going on finding this person as he just reprimanded me on how I should just get it in the mail. Sorry, but my mailbox doesn't have an outgoing mail slot. I'll be sure to drag my kids to the post office as soon as possible. I love that he said "I don't even know who it's for." Well, asking who it was addressed to could solve that answer pretty quickly don't you think?

Unsecured private lending (school loans, credit cards, etc) is a risky business. It is supposed to be that way. Handing people money without collateral is an "unsecure" business endeavor. That high risk is the foundation of this type of lending. Big risks bring either big reward OR big loss. So, why should some companies (such as Harris and Zide's clients) get to make risky business decisions, then have mommy government go recoup their loss for them via Judgements? Why would government be enforcing the reduction of risk for private lenders of unsecure credit lines? Those private lenders should be absorbing their own losses, and making business decisions knowing that their risky business choices will not be babied for them by mommy government. Sure, unsecured lending will shrink if mommy government stops enforcing collections on unsecured private debts, but who (outside of the lenders who are making all the money in this equation) would care? In the arena of school loans, do you really think Universities are going to keep their prices out of the range of what people can get via federal school loans, grants, and scholarships if private lenders stopped giving out school loans? Of course not! They NEED their classrooms to be full! They'd lower their prices and give more scholarships to fill their student body, or they'd close down. Period. It's no coincidence that the amount of money students can borrow is very close to the amount of money Universities charge. There is nothing arbitrary there. That whole economy is a set up to get the most tuition possible, and the most money loaned possible. The schools and lenders work together. As for credit cards, personal unsecured private loans, etc...there would be much less of this type of credit available if government enforcement of collection was outlawed. But so what? It is rare that anyone is using these lines of credit in a way that will be good for their financial standing or future. In most cases where someone is using credit cards (other than just for rental holds) or unsecured private loans they would have done better to wait and save up the actual money, and to have taken time to assess whether or not they really need to spend money on that particular thing at that particular time. The truth is that unsecured private lending makes the lenders massive amounts of money. That is why they do it. They are "the house". We are not meant to benefit from playing. We are just meant to pay the house. We need to recognize the game for what it is, and get some legislation in place that stops government involvement in private unsecured debt collections. When a casino loses a few million to a lucky gambler or someone who finds a way to beat a game, they don't get to run to mommy government and demand that mommy government gets their money back for them. They take the loss and adjust. That is business. Those who enforce this insidious process of using mommy government to collect on private unsecured debts, such as Harris and Zide (and their minions), should be ashamed of themselves. They make their living harming people through nefarious manipulation of these ill-formed legal systems. They try to hide their shame via deluding themselves into believing "if people don't pay their debts, the economy crashes", but the "economy" they are referring to is just the economy of their uber wealthy lending company clients, not the economy of the USA. If people who give risky lines of unsecured credit have to absorb their own losses, without any help from mommy government, you know what would happen to the "the economy" of the USA? Nothing that would affect 99% of us. Some super wealthy lending companies would be a little less super wealthy, and the rest of us would have less access to high interest credit that we don't need. Oh no! What will we all do! This whole thing is such a crock, as are the people who pretend it is ethical and necessary. - Zak

Yvonne, the Manager, is unprofessional. Instead of talking over you, she should be listening to you then respond after you complete your statement. Yvonne had the nerves to say, "you want me to listen to you so you can repeat yourself again?" It's like wow, I never experience this before. Especially from a Manager. Yvonne can learn to listen, emphasize, apologize and then rectify the situation. Customer service training is a need for you! You're on the phone for 20 minutes to just make a payment. I finally learned that automatic payment was another option. That would be a better option instead of waiting on the phone for 20 minutes just to set up payment. You repeatly repeat yourself two times even though they have your information on file. I understand that it's for security purposes but if making payment previously for the past few months then why ask again for the same information? Information should be on file.
