We represent immigrants, their employers and their family members. We assist people in obtaining green cards, visas, asylum, waivers of inadmissibility (e.g. for crime, fraud, and unlawful presence), and naturalization. We also provide representation in deportation/removal proceeding. We advise immigrants and their attorneys on the risks of traveling abroad and of filing for immigration benefits where the applicant has a criminal record. Lea McDermid has exclusively practiced immigration law since 2002 and has served as the chair of the immigration section of the Alaska Bar Association. She graduated from the University of California Berkeley (Boalt Hall School of Law), which has consistently been ranked as one of the top ten law schools in the U.S. She has traveled the world extensively and speaks Spanish fluently.
