Attorney Lindmark was willing to talk to me and give me lots of legal advice before asking for any fee.

A friend of mine went to this attorney a while ago and told me that he was asked to pay more than 400 dollars so Ms. Lindmark could "investigate" his predicament. I'm wondering if any paperwork was involved. Like I said, I'm wondering, so I could be jumping to conclusions, but I found this odd. I hope that he was not being taken advantage of? I have since advised him to maybe seek help elsewhere.
