I had a great meeting with Mr. Moskowitz. I heard all of my problems and concerns. he was very helpful in resolving my tax situation. he's the best in the business.
Worst tax preparer I’ve ever used. Right off the bat tried to get me to agree to my taxes being prepared offshore. I had to beg for a number on tax liability for my 1040 ES days before it was due. The day before my extension was due, I still had not received a confirmation that it had been filed. I had to call to find out. They told me their submission kept failing and that it would be better if I filed the extension MYSELF. I had to ask for another staff member to step in to figure out that they had transposed a number in my social which is why it was rejected. Now 3 months later, I am still no closer to having my taxes filed. They are just sitting on it. This firm is an absolute joke. You may as well use tax software.
I called looking for help or advice. Mr. Moskowitz got on the phone and asked me a couple of questions. Then said no one will help me. It was my first time calling for help cause I've been on an installment agreement and wanted a resolution. His response was cold and didn't get any suggestions. Nothing like his commercials.
IRS — letter 2019 The IRS sent me a letter stating I miscalculated my tax return of 2019 that the sale of my company shares exceeded what I initially reported. I’m far from a tax expert and reached out to Andrew Ford at moskowitz LLP law firm. Andrew help me with engaging the IRS and help solve my matter. I highly recommend Andrew Ford and the team as moskowitz
I have been with Steve's firm over the last 3 years. It was all new to me being audited and threatened with letters by the IRS of audit. Then recalculating previous tax years and deciding I owe more with penalties and interest. And even having to prepare for tax court. The whole time I felt I was in good hands with this law firm. Each lawyer and their legal assistants that were handling my cases, treated me professionally, supportive and were always updating me with how it was progressing and if I had questions for them. One tax year, they even managed to get an IRS demand and threat of tax court thrown out for legal reasons the IRS would have never told me if I was on my own! I was looking at revised audits for 4 years and demand estimated back payments and penalties well over $150,000! It's been reduced to under $14,000 settled on. Since then, they have helped me plan a strategy to get my house in order and getting me on track and take advantage of tax deductions and estate planning that will help me in the near future and long term. Grateful. I had to learn to manage my expectations of what is allowed legally and what is not. Sobering for sure. It was tough to have to still pay back taxes with business writeoffs not allowed after the fact but there was a lot they fought the IRS over and had them back off and relent. Sticker shock was an understatement for the firms legal services in fees for sure. But I get the same reactions from potential customers for my business when they reach out for professional services needed in my field for the first time too! It's all relative. My reviews average 5 stars for over a decade but I have gotten a few 1 stars over services I never even rendered to them. Many have agendas and decide they need to be significant in their reviews. It's normal. I have had a most positive experience dealing with Steve and his staff. I trust them.
