They have the BEST ice cream and desserts! We get deliveries monthly and if we need something before the next delivery, they will bring it the next day. You really can’t beat their desserts. I wish they were in grocery stores!
2 weeks ago there was a schwan's truck at my mother-in-law's residence and I ordered a few items from him right off the truck. He was so friendly and nice so I decided that I would use their home delivery for individual meals for my husband and I well we are in between two different residence. I remember the schwan's man coming to my place and my grandmother's place in the 70s and 80s! It was always an an exciting day when he came! I remember the juice concentrates and the special ice cream grandma used to buy for Christmas! Push pops for summer treats. We lived on the farm so when are schwan's man came was like a social event. I placed an order for delivery yesterday. My delivery guy never showed up nor contacted me to let me know he wasn't coming. To reschedule, they won't deliver until june5th now. They offered to ship it to me but I have never had good results with shipping frozen food ... Especially ice cream! Besides, that's not what I was looking for. I was looking for that personalized service that I once remember. Therefore, I will no longer be using schwan's company and I am closing my account permanently.
Company is unresponsive to concerns and complaints. I was supposed to get a delivery today and customer service gave me three different answers about when they would deliver. It was supposed to be 12-3. They texted me it would be 1:30. No show by 3:30. Then they told me any minute. An hour later they said it was canceled for the day, they would deliver tomorrow. I asked to speak to a supervisor while the rep I spoke to tried to fill out the request for the supervisor. After 15 minutes I asked when I could speak to the supervisor and he said they would call me back later today, maybe tomorrow, maybe next Monday.
I don't know where to begin. I had Schwan's delivery where I lived before this home, and they were great! So, in lieu of COVID-19, I thought maybe I would try this company again. SO, I placed one large order, no issues. Second order, the driver argued with me over the insulated bag. So, Order three, the driver left out a large item, and had one on back order, charged me a $1.75 delivery fee, which, granted is not a large amount, however, I always order over the amount required to dismiss that $1.75 delivery fee. ON THIS ORDER, I called Schwan's and told them I wished to talk to a supervisor over all that was going on. It has been two weeks, so NO CALL BACK AS I WAS advised would occur. So today 5/11/2020, I called, and was greeted with a nice CS rep, said, how about I give you the item that he left out FREE of charge with ZERO delivery fee? I agreed, because this sort of restored my faith in them. So, I go to my email, they not only charged me a $1.75 delivery fee, but took away my credits I had built up, and CHARGED ME ANOTHER $1.75 ON MY CC FOR THIS. I called again, was asking for a supervisor, I said NO way will I wait 24-48 hours, knowing the track record of them. So, I told the CS rep to cancel my order. I am fed up and will NEVER ORDER AGAIN FROM THEM. HORRIBLE WAY TO DO BUSINESS!!! IF that charge on my CC goes through I am contacting someone else to deal with this shister company!!
I have NEVER had such a bad experience with a company in my ENTIRE LIFE!! Every time I called to try to get an associate to fix my order they only made it worse! I initially placed an order with Schwan's on March 21st with a delivery date of April 1st. I wanted to see if I was able to add some items to that order for the same delivery date so I logged into their chat customer service. The representative I was chatting with said it was possible to add items for the same delivery date. I EXPLICITLY told her that I did not want my delivery date to change.. We went through the items I would like to add and she said they were all out of stock. I later checked my order and found that she had added a container of ice cream to the order which pushed my entire food order out for 2 weeks. Since my family is unable to leave our house this is very detrimental to our food plan. I called back and spoke to the mail order supervisor (Melissa) she spoke to the shipping department and told me I would have my order by Friday, April 3rd. When the order wasn't shipped and didn't arrive I called schwans yet again and found that not only did the chat customer service rep move my order out 2 weeks but she also didn't process it through my bank completely so they were unable to have it shipped out. I YET AGAIN had to have my order cancelled and replaced with a duplicate order so that it could be properly processed through my bank account. Not only that but the order she processed for me was for food that I didn't even ask for. I called today, Monday April 6th, 5 days AFTER my order was initially scheduled to be delivered. I am now not allowed to be transferred to the mail order department through their customer service center, most likely due to all my calls in trying to fix their mistakes. And my order which was scheduled for delivery on April 1st is not scheduled for delivery on April 24th due to all the errors that Schwans customer service reps made. **Edit** I called back again regarding the incorrect food and yet ANOTHER customer service representative made a mistake and cancelled a COMPLETELY separate order that i told her there was absolutely nothing wrong with.. So now I have no food for my family for the next month, and what food they did have available in stock is a very meager amount of food at best. This company is ridiculous and does ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to fix their own mistakes!!
