I had a really great experience overall with Livelihood law regarding an employment matter about which I consulted with them. They had a clear intake process, and good communication through; most importantly, though, the lawyer during the consult were empathetic, clear and provided really useful advice. I ended up not needing to retain them because my employer resolved the matter without need for legal recourse but if that hadn't happened, I for sure would have go forward with Livelihood law!
I would not recommend this law firm. For over 7 months I only had contact with a Jr lawyer who basically did nothing but push papers around and utilize all of my "trust fund" that they make you deposit. By the time it reached Rachel I had a zero balance and it was starting from scratch. This is truly one of the most unpleasant experiences dealing with this firm. Don't be fooled by Rachel's pleasant voice and telephone manner. In 9 months she didn't even have the courtesy to meet me personally and only handled matters by phone, or email. It is all a ploy that the firm makes as much money off of you as possible. Week after week my questions would go unanswered and I would have to stay on top of them to get anything done. The unanswered questions results in more emails or phone calls which equals more money in Rachels pocket. It is a deliberate ploy to gain as much money from you as possible. Absolute nightmare. I wouldn't wish this on anyone. This is not a law firm working for you, they are working to fill their own pockets deeper and larger. Run, don't walk and find another lawyer to represent you. You will also be filled with fantasies that they can get you large sums of money in a settlement when in all reality they are willing to settle your case for a few dollars all while continually reassuring you that they are working "for you". I hope she considers finding another line of work where she is not "helping" the public and employees.
The Livelihood Law team is one of the best Employment Law teams in Denver, CO. Both Rachel Ellis and John Michael offer great expertise in Employment Law; and personal care. This team was exceptionally outstanding when representing me, they were there for me every step of the way. I would highly recommend them. They're very honest and straight to the point. The service offered to myself was timely and efficient on all ends. I would highly recommend their services to anyone that may need help in the fight for their right for employment justice. Thank you Livelihood, you made my New Year !!!
Great experience, both attentive and knowledgeable. Would recommend to anyone look for some representation in employment law.
I hired Brooke for a work situation. She is not detail oriented at all. I spent more time putting together material for her to review than was necessary. She would often get names, dates, and situations wrong. As a client, I was already nervous with my situation and I had not heard from her for a significant period of time and a paper was at a deadline. I called and emailed her multiple times. She then finally called me and yelled at me and told me that paper due was beyond her scope. I don't mind her telling me something was beyond her scope of work but as a client, I was shocked that she would yell at me and also not get back to me in a timely manner. I think she knows her law but for the price, I definitely do not recommend. When you hire a lawyer, you're usually looking for someone who has your back and is detailed oriented. Look elsewhere.
