Lost paperwork more than once. Others I knew that went here said they had the same issue. The longer they have your case open the more they can charge, makes sense they would do what they can, like lost paperwork, to prolong your case. Didn't fight for me. Let me get the short end of the stick. I ended up paying what I would if I would have went to a better rated lawyer. This whole experience was a nightmare. My lawyer,Alicia Hampton, didn't make me feel like she wanted what was best for me. How this was handled made me feel like she was forced and unattentive to my needs. Her paralegal was short with me on more then one occasion and even had me in tears due to her complete lack of care. Already going through divorce and custody, this place made me feel neglected and like I was nothing but an annoyance that they could get their paycheck from. I can't not express just how terrible I felt and how irresponsible they treated me. I see a few 5-star ratings here with zero comments, that can only be friends and family of the this place. There is noway this place could ever get five stars. Don't be fooled by the "low-income" motive. They are lawyers that want their money. I suggest find someone else that will be more informative and don't make their clients cry.
They were helpful with my custody issues.
The absolute worst! My lawyer didn't fight for me at all! Even though I'm primary parent and the one who takes her everywhere and does everything for her, my ex somehow got to claim her every year on taxes, along with many other annoying things that doesn't make since with me being primary parent. My lawyer constantly lost my papers and failed to tell me they charged everytime I called. She not once suggested anything for my case and let my ex get away without alimony. She was very hard to get a hold to and if you said something questioning her skill she would become short temper. I saw another review where the lawyer fought for the ex,I really felt she cared nothing of my needs. This may be a low income lawyer however you will pay just has much as if you were to go elsewhere. If you still decide to choose this place, record everything! Phone calles, documents, get things signed stating what you want. Record visits! Everything! They will try to pull the wool over your eyes and claim they did what they should.
Was a waste of $75.00. You get a 30 minute consultation with an attorney who has not read any of the court documents of the case before consultation. Is not prepared. This was a phone consultation and I was not given much of a chance to speak! Very dissatisfied. Wasted my time and my money!
Don't expect much compassion here. Nor for them work with any homeless issues..which is quite sad because someone homeless would definitely not be able to afford legal representation. So sad. The woman answering the phone had no clue what I was talking about which is even worse to not have some clue of laws when you work in a law firm. You don have to know the law but at least be aware of it. And don't say you've never heard of it just say you aren't aware of it...so rude!!! Like I said no compassion.
