About Law Firm
Lynn was born in Galveston, Texas while her father was in medical school. During the time her father served in Vietnam, she moved and resided all over the State of Texas. After this time she settled in Dallas, Texas where she attended elementary, junior high; and part of high school until her move to Alvin, Texas, where she completed high school and graduated.
Following high school, Lynn moved to Austin and attended her undergraduate studies at the University of Texas at Austin focusing on a degree in business. After graduation in 1987, she began studying law at St. Mary’s University School of Law in San Antonio. She graduated in 1991 from law school and passed the bar exam immediately thereafter.
Lynn’s first job out of law school in 1991, was with the Ft. Bend County District Attorney’s Office. It was here that Lynn learned to try cases before juries. She handled many misdemeanor cases, including DWI; unlawful carrying of a weapon; assault; family violence; terroristic threat and possession of marijuana cases.
Lynn left the district attorney’s office to join a firm of some of Houston’s most celebrated criminal defense attorneys.
Following this experience, Lynn joined a tax litigation firm as a managing attorney and litigating for the Houston Independent School District for a period of four years.
After this litigation practice, Lynn began working as a member of the federal Criminal Justice Act Criminal Justice Panel, representing indigent criminal defendants charged with federal criminal cases. During this opportunity, she completed her case load with state criminal cases.
Lynn takes pride in her work ethic, attention to detail, professionalism and works very hard to fight for her clients in each and every case.
In addition to her love of the law, Lynn enjoys skiing, spending time with family and friends and raising her pets, Lucy and Ralphy.

I called the office almost a month ago to see if I can hire this firm to represent my case and talked to attorney Lynn Messer who picked up the phone. In the middle of me giving her the details that she asked for, she suddenly said that she had to jump on another call and asked me to text her my information so she can contact me back, which she never did till the present day, choosing instead to ignore my follow-up texts and voicemails. I'm confused with these types of people... a simple reply like "I can't take your case" would be norm the way I know it. I'm indignant at folks they charge those hefty fees but lack professionalism and treat people like objects.
The guy that answers the phone is both rude and incompetent. He just wasted 20 minutes of my time with ums and holds just to say they can’t do a document review if you’re not their client, even though they are signed up with Metlife as a document reviewer. They stated they can’t review a They stated they can’t review an insurance release form because of HIPAA… HIPAA is for medical providers, not attorneys reviewing documents. What a waste of my time.

This law firm came highly recommended from a fellow veteran.
