I'm a Veteran full Service Connected disability, Service Animal, Brain Injury PTSD Combat Wounded and soon as these people found out I was in Active Recovery Fresh out psych Ward I was given every excuse why this case would fail. I had months of clean time over a 1 day slip (12 months clean & slipped) and I was judged for having made a mistake. I had to plead for them to take case and even then I had to do all the leg work, computer work paper work. They just told me what they needed and sent me to retrieve. This whole time Hearing his doubts about the case because he wasn't familiar with the judge ???? and how he felt about addiction. (Symptom of Combat PTSD is Self Medicating) When we got on phone ???? with Judge the attorney had no fight, just went along with Judge. The Workforce Lady said they Could not Accommodate for my disabilities in the workforce. Judge said it was my drug addiction keeping me from working ( federal medical staff deemed me Unemployable unfit mentally to work) Denied and here it is a whole year later and I have 18 MONTHS CLEAN AND STILL FKG DISABLED. OOH I wish Daily I could take this law office to court for Failure to do all they could do to Win this case instead of Folding like a incompetent lawyer
I had an appt with this lawyer today at 3:00 But had to take my elderly mother to the hospital because she fell and I called to cancel I told them I will call to reschedule as soon as I get this taken care of. A few min later Mr, McDonald called me wanting to know why I cancelled and that I need to get in there if I want a lawyer in time for my hearing in February. He was insistent on wanting to know why I canceled. Now why would I want a lawyer that treats me like this. I did not tell him what was going on because I felt it was not his business. I was shocked. I told him I guess I will not need your services after all and hung up.
After answering a ton of questions from whom I assume is his assistant, he called me & was extremely rude from the 1st words out of his mouth. After all of the questions asked, I assumed a little bit of empathy would have been shown, but not by him. He told me what I've done wrong & if I could file an appeal, then call him back. Regardless of if I did or did not get the appeal, I would never call him back or pay him for services. He should sit & think about how he treats people that are reaching out to him for help. There's a reason we need help & belittling someone with needs can be devastating.
