Worst lawyer in the state took my money just to tell me I was telling a good story and there was nothing he could do for me. Shocking that my story is the same as 25 other women who have been wronged by this man in Des Moines. Story was good enough to make the news many times. Bad lawyers and bad service do not trust

I contracted COVID & Pneumonia at the same time subsequently causing extreme financial pressure after a year plus of illness. I was lost and scared! I contracted Marks Law Firm and there professionalism was top notch!! they explained my options and we started executing it right away, giving me a sound piece of mind. I can't say enough! I'm not sure about the attorneys there, I never got that far. I dealt with the gatekeeper Alex. Needles to say after paying 800$ to acquire there services (initially) i was treated so bad that i asked for a refund to look for another firm. All of a sudden Alex gets nice and tries to pressure me into not leaving them. Doesn't want to issue a refund and argues with me about my money. He eventually states he refunded it and whenever the bank puts it back is when I'll get it and hung up. I called the next morning because the payment processed, I was immediately hung up on, luckily I had my banking rep on a 3 way call. Called back again he took my call, began to treat me rudely again until the banking rep spoke up. He finally transferred us to someone in billing. The gent in billing explained things very well (which was different from what Alex said). The banking rep chimed in before ending the call about Alex and maybe retraining him. Customer service was probably my worst experience ever. Whoever owns that firm lost money because of a gatekeepers attitude, I wonder how much more you have lost and don't know it? Oh well, I'll wait to see if my $$ is back by friday like I was told and then go give it to another attorney. Bad business, I'd be apprehensive about using them solely due to my experience with Alex.
