Attorney as service provider should care about client in first place. Gary only cares how to suck more money from every client he takes. In my case, he deliberately extended the process to 11 court appearances for a very simple case that required 3 court appearances. And during the process he did not produce a single valuable document, because he is incapable to do any real work. He was also using "a shock therapy", e.g., presenting extremely inflated bill 2 weeks before the trial. At the end his bill was for $49,000 (forty nine thousand) representing very large portion of my assets. I filed a case to mass.bar for arbitrating legal fees, but he chickened out? until he got his dirty hand on part of proceeds he is keeping now from sale of my property. I actually glad that I hired him, because now I understand how terrible "attorney" could be. My advice, however, is to fire him immediately if you work with him right now. If you have unresolved monetary dispute with him, file for arbitration to mass.bar.
Gary started out talking tough (my ex was wanting alimony from me, even though I have the kids) - he said he'd (and I quote him here, speaking of her and her own scurrilous lawyer) "kick her ass", he said. All I was after was Child Support (as I already had sole custody - a great achievement for a father in MA!!), but they countered with a load of junk motions. However, even though he had copious notes from me, and the fact I had to write basically all the orders (i.e., did all the hard work for him), he fell apart like a stuttering fool in court - and a bill of $10,500!!! He couldn't even get me the basic right of a Custodial parent - Child Support (and therefore, increased financial support for my children) - and had the audacity to not even sympathise with me when the motion was "denied" (sic). nnHe thinks he's "it", but he is not. My advice: run like crazy from this arrogant, insensitive guy!n
