First of all, I interviewed 5 disability insurance law firms on the West Coast, many who resisted my attempts to interview them, most who did not allow me to speak to a managing partner, and some even tried to pressure me into hiring them without my own personal vetting process. So when I called McKennon Law Group and was immediately put through to lead attorney and founding shareholder, Robert McKennon, I was duly impressed. Personable, professional, and an excellent listener. His communication skills and previous experience working for, and litigating against, my long term disability insurance company, made it an easy decision to hire McKennon Law Group to represent me. As we proceeded in my case, Joe McMillen became my main point of contact, partnering with Robert McKennon to work on my behalf. Both Robert and Joe treated me as if my case was their only case, and we developed a respectful and transparent alliance to work toward fighting my long term disability insurance company. The firm submitted a top-notch ERISA written appeal and worked with my neurologist to refute Hartford’s medical consultant’s opinion. Hartford ultimately agreed to overturn my claim denial.
