Terrible Experience - Avoid This Lawyer at All Costs I had the unfortunate experience of hiring Mr. Matthews to represent me in my divorce case, and it was an absolute disaster from start to finish. I did not feel listened to, understood or supported by him or his staff. This attorney not only failed to provide any meaningful support or representation but also managed to waste an entire year of my time and $3000 of my hard-earned money without taking any action on my behalf. Despite promising to handle discovery and fight for my rights, Mr. Mathews did nothing of the sort. Instead, they seemed more concerned with serving the interests of my ex-husband's lawyer, leaving me feeling completely abandoned and unprotected. To add insult to injury, when I expressed concerns about my ex-husband's attempts to manipulate our assets during the divorce proceedings, Mr. Matthews brushed off my concerns and failed to take any action. As a result, my ex-husband was able to take out a $60,000 loan against our marital home , leaving me saddled with debt that should have been divided equitably. Furthermore, communication with His paralegal was practically nonexistent. Phone calls went unanswered, emails were ignored, and I was left feeling completely isolated and helpless throughout the process. His paralegal worked as secretary and letter carrier to court and several other jobs for him and an immigration attorney in that office so she had not time to answer phone or email . In the end, I had no choice but to terminate my relationship with Mr. Matthews and hire a competent lawyer who actually cared about defending my rights. If you value your time, money, and peace of mind, I urge you to steer clear of Mr. Matthews. They are nothing more than a greedy, incompetent lawyer who preys on vulnerable individuals without providing any meaningful assistance or support. .The most unprofessional attorney's office I have ever seen. Save your money and take it elsewhere.

Absolutely worthless lawyers and somehow even more worthless paralegal. No one has a single ounce of common sense or empathy. They must be illiterate since they can't understand the most basic of emails.

Does not finish a job.... Three years and counting trying to finalize a divorce case for a friend of mine, fully paid for, and still nothing comes from it.

Did fine with my divorce 4 years. Hired him almost a year ago for family law with my son & ex-husband and he didn’t communicate with me on anything nor did I feel he was supportive with anything I was dealing with. Office always disorganized the few times I went in. I felt he & his paralegal made me feel worthless with the way they talked to me & bashed me with things I had done. Don’t recommend them for any family law. Divorce he can handle but if it’s more than just a straight up divorce with lots of obstacles, probably not for him. I’ve gladly moved on to a much more supportive lawyer that has been on top of things since day 1.
