Dr Kaplan is a very talented surgeon and has done two knee replacements for me, nine years apart. He is one of the leading innovators in improving knee surgery outcomes. Both of my knees are just like brand new. Listen to the Doctor. He told me that I needed to be aggressive and push myself to the max during the physical therapy immediately after each surgery. My reward for following his instructions was great range of motion in my knees and the ability to return to an active lifestyle.

I’ve been a patient of Active Ortho for over 20 years and I would say 5 stars, but after today I can’t do it. First I have to say that I made a mistake with my appointment today, and I understand that, but my appointment was at 1:15 and I thought it was at 1:30 so I signed in at 1:30 and they made me reschedule, even though I told her I was in a lot of pain. I’m definitely going to look for a new doc when I get home, but I’ll still come Friday since my freakin knee hurts really bad

Where do I begin? First, the office staff is nasty and rude. On my first appointment I had to see the P.A. because of course the Dr. wasn't available. He didn't know what he was doing and was condescending. My knee was extremely swollen yet he was unable to drain it. I made another appointment, this time I insisted on seeing the Dr. I had to wait 3 weeks. I finally got there and was in a lot of pain, and was then told, "Oh, the Dr. isn't here. You"ll have to see a P.A." I was furious. The second P.A. wasn't any better. He did nothing, except order an MRI. So once again I made an appointment with the Dr. I had to wait another 3 weeks and it was 2 weeks AFTER I had the MRI. This time he showed up only to tell me I need surgery. He said that was the only option. He even had the consent form filled out. I refused to sign it and got a second opinion! My new Dr. is so much better! She said surgery at this point would make it worse and offered me several other treatment options! She even drained a LOT of fluid from it and today it is feeling much better already. After more than 2 months of suffering it is a huge relief to know I finally have hope.

Today was my first visit with Dr.Kaplan. Everyone I met on the office was very friendly. Dr. Kaplan was wonderful! He Drained my knee and gave me a shot to relieve some pain until MRI comes back. Thank you so much!

I'm on my 3rd day after knee surgery. I'm only experiencing minimal discomfort, and walking better than I have in months. I'd definitely see Dr. Kaplan again should the need arise.
