Bought a townhome a year and half ago. Warranty is for one year. My roof is leaking and my master room closet ceiling is ruined. Had someone try and fix it and was told the flashing on the roof was not installed properly. If I would have known this sooner it could have been fixed under warranty. Brand new townhome and leaky roof. This is the second time it has leaked in the past few months. I feel the builder should take responsibility for this. Poor craftsmanship and inadequate quality control.
This builder has a quality assurance problem. I was one of the first to move into a new community and here's why you should recondisder them as a potential builder.nn1. My wife and I decided to upgrade our kitchen cabinets and hardware. At the design center we were told that the hardware size was going to match the doors sizes, and that the matching was part of the designers job. When the cabinets were installed, the hardware was all the same size. The 15" and 35" cabinet door's all had a 12 " handle! It has been six months after we settled - with a promise they would fix the problem - and the cabinets have not been completely replaced.nn2. When the cabinets were replaced, one of the installers drilled holes on two panels that weren't doors - to cover up his mistake he installed two handles ! I was standing next to the installer and he recognize that this had to be fixed. When I talked to the sales representatice and designer they told me that having handles on panels was part of the design!!!! nn3. Out 3 level townhome doesn't have a split air system nor is there a way to adjust the flow of air for each flor - this was a design problem that was corrected with the unit build later .nn4. I have been watching and talking to the various contractors and noticed many shortcuts on foundational phases of the home. They are able to get away because the site manager is divided into multiple projects , including building his own home!
Just bought a home from Miller and Smith at brambleton evermont trace. We are so happy to buy this house. I would like to thank Mr.Eric Hansen who has helped us alot in option selection and worked with us throughout the process. He worked with us in every step of the process and patiently answered any questions we had, which has made our first time home buying experience very easy. Its been just more than two months and we are loving it. The ventilation, build quality is amazing. I would definitely recommend Miller and Smith for anyone who wants an amazing place at the right price.
We just bought our new home at Courthouse Manor in Stafford and couldn't be happier. Our kids go to Stafford Elementary and living at Courthouse lets them walk to school. The screened in porch reminds me of summer nights growing up back home in Georgia. Also, Ms. Deborah was fantastic and made us feel right at home - even before we bought our new house!
My husband and I just moved in to our Cayden Ridge home in Manassas and are so happy with our decision. We're big runners, so being close to Signal Hill Park is perfect. We've already started inviting our family and friends over to show them our new home, and to take our niece to the Signal Bay Waterpark. (She can't stop talking about it!) Thank you, Miller and Smith, for helping us find our dream home!
